‘Embracing Cross-Domain Command for NATO to Deter and Defend at Speed’
In an era of rapidly evolving threats and increasingly complex battlespaces, the ability to command and control forces across all domains — land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace — has never been more critical. The 2026 NATO Command and Control Centre of Excellence (C2COE) Conference brings together Allied military leaders, defence planners, strategists, and industry experts to confront this defining challenge head-on. As adversaries exploit seams between domains and compress decision timelines, NATO must accelerate its approach to integrated, Cross-Domain Command, enabling commanders to deter aggression and, when necessary, defend with speed, precision, and unity of purpose.
Over two dynamic days, these themes will be brought to life through expert-moderated panel discussions that draw on diverse Allied perspectives and foster the kind of frank, forward-looking dialogue that drives real progress. Dedicated workshops during the event offer participants the opportunity to move beyond discussion and engage directly with the concepts, challenges, and solutions shaping the future of Cross-Domain Command. The main conference runs from 9–11 November, culminating in a capstone fireside chat with a General Officer on Wednesday afternoon. Thursday, 12 November, will be a separate by-invitation-only Focus Day. Upon registration, selected participants will be able to register for the Focus Day. Together, these sessions make the C2COE Conference an unmissable forum for those committed to strengthening the Alliance's command edge in an increasingly contested world.
