Speaker Bio
Joris Luyendijk (Amsterdam, 1971) is a former journalist and one of the best sold and most widely translated writers of his generation.

Trained as an anthropologist at American, Egyptian and Dutch universities, Luyendijk started out as Middle East correspondent for a range of Dutch and Flemish media. Later he conducted a two year investigation into the culture of bankers in the City of London for The Guardian. After returning to the Netherlands with his family in 2017 Luyendijk went on to publish 'de zeven vinkjes' about privilege from the perspective of the privileged.

After the reelection of Donald Trump last year Luyendijk left the world of journalism to focus on fundraising for Ukraine and raising awareness about the need for Europe to stand on its own feet, technologically, militarily and strategically.
