Thomas Crosbie has a PhD in sociology and is an Associate Professor in the Centre for Joint Operations. His research focuses on military operations, including MDO / JADO, as well as: military politics / civil-military relations; military competency development / Professional Military Education (PME); media-military relations; and related topics concerning the military profession.

Thomas Crosbie was awarded his PhD in sociology from Yale University. He was subsequently employed at the University of Maryland, College Park, before coming to RDDC. His research focuses on the US and NATO military affairs, with a special focus on the military-politics interface.
